Case Report: Bent Tibial Intramedullary Nail Removal

Abstract Intramedullary nails for fracture stabilization in case of a tibial fractures are a well-established method. Complications such as nail bending are rare but arise particularly when the fracture pattern or biomechanical forces exceed the nail’s capacity to withstand stress. This report details removal of a bent nail where it likely contributed to the nonunion of the fracture, requiring revision surgery.
