Venezuelanas/os em Aracaju/SE: o corpo-migrante e suas intersecções com gênero, etnia e classe

The aim of this article is to understand the process of embodiment of Venezuelan migrants living in Aracaju, Sergipe. We highlight the motivations behind Venezuelan emigration to Brazil and the social conditions in Aracaju. We seek to understand the production of the “migrant body” based on the trajectories of migrants at their intersection with gender, ethnicity, and class. Data were collected between 2022 and 2023 through a survey and a focus group. The study showed us that the bodily dimension of the migratory trajectory materialized as hunger, fatigue, and fear during the migratory journey and as prejudice, aesthetic, and gastronomic standards in Aracaju.
