Dinamika Pemaafan Istri terhadap Perselingkuhan Suami dengan Pekerja Seksual

Abstract. A husband's affair with a commercial sex worker is a form of marriage violation that causes deep emotional wounds for the wife. Of the many divorce cases that occur, some wives still choose to forgive and maintain the marriage, even though the process is complex. This study aims to find out the dynamics of wife's forgiveness for husband's infidelity with commercial sex workers. The phenomenological method was used to explore the experiences of two intermediate adult female participants (40-65 years old). Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and analyzed using phenomenological descriptive methods. The results of the forgiveness process of the two participants showed that the forgiveness process of the participants was in the work phase, the presence of rumination could hinder the forgiveness process so that the participants could not reach the deepening phase. This results in hollow forgiveness as a strategy to maintain the family. Factors that affect the forgiveness of wives with their husband's affair with prostitutes are the existence of children, length of marriage, family support, religion and personality. This study emphasizes that forgiveness in the context of transactional infidelity is influenced by a variety of personal and social factors, and does not always reflect a complete emotional acceptance. Abstrak. Perselingkuhan suami dengan pekerja seks komersial merupakan bentuk pelanggaran pernikahan yang menimbulkan luka emosional mendalam bagi istri. Dari banyaknya kasus perceraian yang terjadi, beberapa istri tetap memilih untuk memaafkan dan mempertahankan pernikahan, meskipun prosesnya kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika pemaafan istri terhadap perselingkuhan suami dengan pekerja seks komersial. Metode fenomenologi digunakan untuk menggali pengalaman dua partisipan wanita dewasa madya (40-65 tahun). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif fenomenologis. Hasil dari proses pemaafan dua partisipan menunjukkan bahwa proses pemaafan partisipan berada di fase work, adanya ruminasi dapat menghambat proses pemaafan sehingga partisipan tidak dapat mencapai fase deepening. Hal ini mengakibatkan pemaafan semu (hollow forgiveness) sebagai strategi mempertahankan keluarga. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pemaafan pada istri dengan perselingkuhan suami dengan PSK adalah keberadaan anak, lama usia menikah, dukungan keluarga, agama dan kepribadian. Penelitian ini menekankan bahwa pemaafan dalam konteks perselingkuhan transaksional dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor pribadi dan sosial, serta tidak selalu mencerminkan penerimaan emosional yang utuh.
