Pengaruh Luas Lahan Sawah dan Jumlah Pupuk terhadap Produksi Padi di Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun 2023

Abstract. Indonesia is one of the largest agricultural countries in the world, with rice as the main commodity supporting national food security. However, rice production is often influenced by various factors such as the size of rice fields and fertilizer use. This study was conducted to examine the effect of rice field size and fertilizer use on rice production in Tasikmalaya Municipality in 2023. The method used in this study was multiple linear regression to analyze the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable, as well as to identify the contribution of each variable in the model. The data used were obtained from the Tasikmalaya City Statistics Agency. The results of the multiple linear regression showed that the size of rice fields has a significant positive effect on rice production, while excessive fertilizer use tends to reduce rice production. With a coefficient of determination of 97.17%, this model can explain most of the variation in rice production. Abstrak. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara agraris terbesar di dunia, dengan padi sebagai komoditas utama yang mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional. Namun, produksi padi sering dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti luas lahan sawah dan penggunaan pupuk. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh luas lahan sawah dan jumlah pupuk terhadap produksi padi di Kota Tasikmalaya pada tahun 2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu regresi linear berganda untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen, serta mengidentifikasi kontribusi masing-masing variabel dalam model. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari BPS Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa luas lahan sawah memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap produksi padi, sementara penggunaan jumlah pupuk yang berlebihan cenderung menurunkan hasil produksi padi. Dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 97,17%, model ini dapat menjelaskan sebagian besar variasi produksi padi.
