Studi Kontribusi Gratitude terhadap Workplace Well-Being pada Pekerja Sosial

Abstract. In a dynamic work situation, individuals cannot rely entirely on organizations to maintain their well-being. Gratitude is a positive emotional response that arises when individuals receive something from others. Workplace well-being, on the other hand, is a condition in which individuals feel prosperous in the context of the workplace. Gratitude plays a role as a positive trait in improving workplace well-being. The objective is to determine the contribution of gratitude to workplace well-being among social workers employed by the Government Social Services Agency. Data was collected using two measurement tools: the Gratitude Resentment and Appreciation Test–Revised Short (GRAT-RS) developed by Watkins et al. (2003) and the Workplace Well-being Questionnaire (WWQ) developed based on the theory of Parker & Hyett (2011). A non-experimental quantitative method was adopted as the research approach, employing simple regression analysis. The sample was selected using convenience sampling, involving 85 social workers. The analysis results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted, where gratitude contributes positively and significantly to workplace well-being with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 18.7%, and the remainder is not explained by this variable. These findings also show that the levels of gratitude and workplace well-being of social workers are in the high category.
