Pemodelan Spasial Ketahanan Pangan Jawa Timur Tahun 2023

Abstract. Spatial regression analysis is an extension of classical regression that incorporates spatial effects. Spatial effects refer to the geographic influence on data, which can be classified into spatial dependence and spatial heterogeneity. To address spatial heterogeneity, the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) method is applied by estimating parameters through geographic proximity weighting. GWR allows each location to have its own local parameters, enabling the model to capture variations in the relationship between variables across locations. This makes GWR a more adaptive and representative model compared to classical regression, especially in revealing spatially varying relationships. In this study, the GWR method is applied to the 2023 Food Security Index (FSI) data of districts and cities in East Java Province, using haversine distance and a fixed exponential kernel. The analysis produces 38 local GWR models, with variations in predictor variables influencing the IKP across two regional groups. The GWR model demonstrates superior performance over OLS, as indicated by a higher adjusted R² value.
