Pengaruh Perceived Social Support terhadap Burnout pada Tenaga Pendidik Kontrak Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan X

Abstract. Contract teachers are vulnerable to work stress due to uncertain employment status, limited facilities, and disproportionate workloads. This condition can lead to burnout, a psychological syndrome from prolonged work stress. Perceived social support, or the support individuals feel they receive from their surroundings, is considered a protective factor. This study investigates the effect of perceived social support on burnout among elementary school contract teachers in District X. A quantitative method was used with simple random sampling. The instruments used were the Revised Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (R-MSPSS) and the Maslach-Trisni Burnout Inventory (M-TBI). The results show that perceived social support has a significant negative effect on burnout; the higher the social support, the lower the level of burnout. An R² value of 0.276 indicates that this variable explains 27.6% of the variance in burnout. Support from family, peers, and superiors plays an important role in preventing burnout.
