Analisis Resilience at Work pada Wanita Bekerja Generasi Sandwich

Abstract. The sandwich generation refers to individuals who simultaneously support two generations, such as parents and siblings or children, both emotionally and financially. This condition is commonly experienced by working women who carry dual roles in both family and workplace settings. This study aims to explore the subjective meaning of resilience at work among working women in the open-faced sandwich generation. The research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach, using in-depth interviews with six participants selected through purposive sampling. Thematic analysis was conducted based on Malik & Garg’s (2018) theory using NVivo 15 software. The findings show that all six aspects of resilience at work were reflected in participants' experiences, with varied and contextual interpretations. Furthermore, five key factors were identified as supporting the development of resilience: personal values, social support, self-regulation strategies, meaningful work interpretation, and adaptability. These factors collectively enable participants to manage the pressure of dual roles and maintain a balance between work and personal life.
