Pengaruh Online Self-disclosure terhadap Kepuasan Pernikahan pada Istri LDM

Abstract. Long Distance Marriage (LDM) has become a common phenomenon frequently encountered in today’s society. Online self-disclosure refers to an individual’s openness in sharing personal information with others through online platforms, such as social media. This study aims to examine the influence of online self-disclosure on marital satisfaction among wives who are in LDM relationships. The research employed a quantitative method with purposive sampling. The measurement instruments used were the Revised Self-Disclosure Scale (RSDS) developed by Wheeless (1976) and the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) Scale by Olson and Fowers (!993). The sample consisted of 152 wives living in Bandung who are currently in LDM relationships with their spouses. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, the findings indicate that online self-disclosure significantly influences marital satisfaction among wives in LDM relationships, with a contributed of 56.3%. This result demonstrates a significant and positive relationship between online self-disclosure and marital satisfaction. Therefore, it is suggested that higher levels of online self-disclosure are likely to be associated with higher levels of marital satisfaction. Abstrak.
