The aim of the research is to know the role of cognitive exercises given in a sequential manner to activate the perception of the environment (perception of distance - perception of place) and learn the skills of handling and evasion. The researcher assumed that there are differences between the experimental and control groups with statistical significance between the pre-test and the post-test in the research variables. The appropriate and suitable method was used for the nature of the research problem. The sample represented the first-grade students of the intermediate stage for the academic year (2024-2025) numbering (40) students divided into an experimental group numbering (20) students and a control group numbering (20) students. The sample was equalized. The experimental group was exposed to the experimental variable for a period of (8) weeks at a rate of two educational units per week. After the researcher finished the experiment, (SPSS) was used to process the data statistically. The researcher reached conclusions, including that the cognitive exercises led to the goals for which they were set and in a good way through developing the perception of the environment and learning the skills of Handling and dribbling. Therefore, the researcher recommended the necessity of using cognitive exercises in the educational unit when learning basic football skills.
