Research on arc fault detection technology of 10kV distribution cable

Arc faults in 10kV distribution cables exhibit rapid current fluctuations, high-frequency noise, ultraviolet radiation, and localized heating. By applying time-domain and frequency-domain analyses, such as Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Wavelet Transform (WT), combined with optical and thermal detection, fault identification accuracy is enhanced for reliable detection.

Abstract

Arc faults in 10kV distribution cables exhibit rapid current fluctuations, high-frequency noise, ultraviolet radiation, and localized heating. By applying time-domain and frequency-domain analyses, such as Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Wavelet Transform (WT), combined with optical and thermal detection, fault identification accuracy is enhanced for reliable detection.
