Research on the Low-Power Consumption Strategies for UUV Based on Buoyancy Regulation System
As essential tools for marine observation, unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) play a crucial role in marine research, development, and utilization. The submersion-float motion function is a key support for UUVs exploring vast ocean areas. Through this motion, UUVs can observe the vertical ocean zone and communicate with shore-based equipment. Buoyancy regulation is a method by which UUVs adjust their buoyancy to achieve submersion-float motion. This paper designs a buoyancy regulation system for UUVs, using a combination of “active buoyancy compensation” and “passive buoyancy compensation”. By constructing an AMESim simulation platform, the feasibility of the buoyance regulation system is verified. Considering changes in ocean environmental parameters and the buoyancy variation of UUVs, a vertical buoyancy simulation platform is constructed to analyze the submersion-float motion performance in Simulink. Finally, from the perspective of reducing the power consumption of the buoyancy regulation system, optimization measures are proposed.
