Standard Deviation of Free-Space to Few-Mode-Fiber Coupling Efficiency Under Atmospheric Turbulence

We develop a theoretical model for the standard deviation of coupling efficiency from free space to few-mode fiber under atmospheric turbulence. Split-step computer simulations confirm the accuracy of our expression over various turbulence strengths.
