Analysis of High-Order Bragg Periodic Dielectric Waveguides by Floquet-Bloch Theory

Floquet-Bloch Theory is proposed to analyze high-order gratings. At third- and fifth-order Bragg condition, the maximum reflectivity is 28.36 % and 17.07 %, respectively, while most of the power (over 90% off resonance) radiates to the substrate.

Abstract

Floquet-Bloch Theory is proposed to analyze high-order gratings. At third- and fifth-order Bragg condition, the maximum reflectivity is 28.36 % and 17.07 %, respectively, while most of the power (over 90% off resonance) radiates to the substrate.
