Enhanced Performance of Fiber-Optic Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor Via Bumpy Ball Structure Based on Rapid Thermal Annealing

We propose a fiber optic localized surface plasmon resonance sensor with bumpy ball (core-satellite) nanostructures with nonlocalized multiple nanogaps based on rapid thermal annealing for sensitivity improvement of the fiber-optic plasmonic sensor. A pancreatic cancer biomarker is detected in real-time to evaluate sensor performance, demonstrating a detection limit of 0.033 U/mL.

Abstract

We propose a fiber optic localized surface plasmon resonance sensor with bumpy ball (core-satellite) nanostructures with nonlocalized multiple nanogaps based on rapid thermal annealing for sensitivity improvement of the fiber-optic plasmonic sensor. A pancreatic cancer biomarker is detected in real-time to evaluate sensor performance, demonstrating a detection limit of 0.033 U/mL.
