Design of Higher-Order Series-Coupled Microring Wavelength Filters Using Success-History Based Parameter Adaptation for Differential Evolution

We propose a design method based on success-history-based parameter adaptation for differential evolution for higher-order series-coupled microring resonator (MRR) wavelength filters. Automatic design of a sixth-order Si MRR filter robust to fabrication errors is demonstrated.

Abstract

We propose a design method based on success-history-based parameter adaptation for differential evolution for higher-order series-coupled microring resonator (MRR) wavelength filters. Automatic design of a sixth-order Si MRR filter robust to fabrication errors is demonstrated.
