An Automated Electrochemical Microfluidic Sensing Platform for Continuous Heavy Metal Analysis in Water/Soil Reservoirs

An automated and programmable electrochemical microfluidic sensing platform is proposed for continuous measurement and analysis of heavy metal ions in water and soil solutions. This platform includes a novel three-in-one diamond sensor connected to a potentiostat circuit which can automatically perform unique electrochemical analyses such as cyclic voltammetry (CV), anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), etc. The experimental results show that the fabricated device with the diamond sensor has outstanding accuracy and stability in continuous analysis of heavy metal ions.
