Ditherless Auto Bias Control Technology for Optical IQ Modulators with High Baud Rates and High-Order Modulation Formats

We developed ditherless auto bias control for optical IQ modulators with high baud rates and higher-order modulation formats. With 64 quadrature amplitude modulation formats at 65 Gbaud, a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$Q$</tex>-factor of 7.8 dB was obtained.
