A Wearable Michelson Interferometric Fiber-Optic Sensor for Muscle Activity Measurement

We demonstrate the ability to measure muscle activity through light phase variations in an optical fiber with homodyne detection. The method's repeatability was confirmed, showing over 88% correlation across 20 trials for all five subjects.
