Terahertz Metasurface Based on Quasi-Bic for Fingerprint Spectrum Retrieval of Trace Analytes
In this paper, a terahertz (THz) metasurface based on bound states in the continuum (BIC) is proposed to achieve the sensing of trace amounts of glucose in aqueous solutions, which is assisted by the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) micro fluidic chip. The minimum sensing concentration is 1 ppm. Moreover, the coupling mismatch of SRR resonance modes within the metasurface unit cell generates high-Q resonance, enabling fingerprint spectrum retrieval for trace amounts of analytes with a 14-time enhancement.
