Spectrum Narrowing Mitigation via Optoelectrical Hybrid Partial-Response Spectrum Shaping

We propose a demodulation framework based on optoelectrical hybrid partial-response spectrum shaping to mitigate the spectrum narrowing caused by traversing many WSSs. Simulations of and experiments on ultra-dense WDM systems demonstrate its effectiveness.
