Flexible Tactile-Olfactory Fusion Glove for Gesture Recognition and Combustible Detection in Complex Environment
We report a flexible intelligent glove that integrates artificial tactile and olfactory sensor array. It is able to assist wearers and humanoid robots in tasks such as gesture recognition and combustion odor detection. Our proposed convolutional neural network algorithm can fuse multi-channel and multi-dimensional sensing information, distinguish typical gestures, and achieve an accuracy of 98.3% in recognizing four types of combustibles. It provides opportunities for rapid decision-making in the rescue fields of gas analysis and target recognition.
