Separation of Electrical Signal Processing Unit and Optical Measurement Unit in Brillouin Optical Correlation-Domain Reflectometry
We develop a new configuration of Brillouin optical correlation-domain reflectometry by separating its electrical processing unit and optical measurement unit by connecting them via a long optical fiber. Measurements up to 20 km were demonstrated. Keywords: Distributed fiber optical sensing, fibers and fiber devices for sensing
