Augmentation of TRM with Upgraded High-Power Pulsed Amplifier for Active Aperture Radar
This paper presents the upgrade of the High-Power Amplifier (HPA) in the Transmit Receive Modules (TRMs) of ARIES active phased array wind profiling radar system operating at 206.5 MHz located in the central Himalayas. The original amplifier was replaced with a more rugged amplifier, and the performance of the modified TRMs was validated through extensive testing and by capturing atmospheric wind data.
