Low-Crosstalk Silicon Optical Switch with Switching Time < 5.5 ns
We demonstrated silicon optical switches with crosstalk between -28 to -34.2 dB at 1310 nm, 7.8-mW power consumption, and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$5.5-n s$</tex> switching time. Crosstalk remained below -28 and -20 dB across <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$24-n m$</tex> and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$100-n m$</tex> bandwidths, respectively.
