A High Gain s-Band Circularly Polarized Antenna Array Using SFT for Telemetry Application

An innovative study is done on antenna array creation on the cylindrical shaped substrate of height 1.58 mm of Taconic TLY (dielectric constant of 2.2) material. The shape of the radiating element selected is also circular. A sixteen-element high gain circularly polarized antenna array is created using dual level sequential feeding technique. This research paper discusses the flow of making an antenna array from single element to sixteen elements array. The architecture is designed to work on the narrow frequency bandwidth of 100 MHz in the S-band i.e. 2.2 GHz – 2.3 GHz for telemetry applications. All the stages of the array creation are simulated and studied in HFSS Software.
