An Architecture of Low Latency Low Bandwidth Mission Critical LAN and WAN Based Multichannel Multi-Source Secure Video Streaming for Range Application
In present time high compression video codecs like H.265/HEVC is being widely used in video streaming applications. It is being used also in low-bandwidth transmission over IP networks. In the case of simultaneous multiple test trials where multiple flight objects are launched from launchpads deployed at different geographical locations, the sources of the videos are from different geographical locations, and the destinations of the videos are also different geographical locations. The nature of the video transmission, transport, and reception is mission-critical in nature. The latency also plays an important role from source to all destinations in these real-time applications. As video transport is only for a group of destinations, data security plays an important factor. In this paper, a test setup with the result is shown for low latency and low bandwidth secure video transmission and reception from all the sources to all destinations. It uses Local Area Network and Wide Area Network based IP architecture to support multicast UDP and RTP video packet transmission. This architecture has been tested in multiple test trials.
