Multiband Metro-Access Horseshoe and Spur Networks Using SOA-Based Junction Nodes and OADM Architectures
We experimentally assess multiband(MB) metro-access horseshoe with spur networks using novel SOA-based MB-Junction-node and filter-less OADM architectures, achieving >28.7dB OSNR, <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$>60 ~\text{dB}$</tex> extinction-ratio, error-free transmission with 1.1 dB (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$C$</tex>-band) and 1.2 dB (O-band) penalties at <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$53 G b p s$</tex> after 5-nodes.
