Breast Tumor-on-Chip Incorporating 3D Cancer Spheroids Culture for Targeted Drug Combination Tests and Developments

This study proposes an in vitro experimental chip that mimics the tumor microenvironment of breast cancer for screening different combinations of targeted drugs for TNBC. Through the geometric design of microfluidic channels, the chip generates seven different drug concentration combinations from three targeted drugs. Micro-well structures are used to capture a precise number of cells in the chamber, which are then cultured into three-dimensional tumor spheroids for drug perfusion testing, enabling the selection of the optimal drug combination for systematically killing cancer cells. It is hoped that this chip will provide a precise drug screening platform, contributing to the development of personalized medicine.
