Optimal Design and Algorithm Quality Analysis of Pill-Box Dielectric Window
In this paper, the pill-box conventional disk type dielectric window operating at the frequency of 2.998 GHz is presented. For finding the design parameters of this sub-component is challenging to the designers. To solve the problem, a popular multi-objective optimization algorithm PMBSA is used to find the design parameters with desired frequency and higher bandwidth and validated with multi-objective algorithm NSGA-II. The obtained design parameters are cavity radius <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(C_{r})$</tex>, and cavity length <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(C_{l})$</tex> which are found to be 30.3 mm and 39.7 mm, respectively. To measure the quality of the algorithm, C-metric and SP-metric analysis is used. The results obtained by PMBSA are favourable compared to NSGA-II.
