Tuned-Fermi Level Graphene Enhanced Stimulated Brillouin Scattering on Si

Through meticulous theoretical investigation, we have demonstrated the realization of highly efficient stimulated Brillouin scarttering (SBS) in a silicon graphene strip waveguide. The optimized waveguide configuration through the Fermi level of graphene on the silicon waveguide, yields remarkable performance metrics. Specifically, we achieved brillouin gain of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$9.54 w^{-1} m^{-1}$</tex> by tuning the Fermi level of graphenere, which presents significant advancements in nonlinear optical performance. These findings not only validate the theoretical predictions but also establish the silicon-graphene strip waveguide as a promising platform for advanced nonlinear optical applications.
