Investigation on Micro-Milling Fabrication Technique for the Development of 0.1 and 0.22 THz Interaction Structure
A practical approach for the investigation on micro-milling fabrication technique for the development of sub-mm interaction structure has been presented. The demand for THz radiation sources, such as BWOs, is growing due to their applications in spectroscopy, imaging, and communication. The development of sub-mm beam-wave interaction structure is one of the key challenges in the realization of BWO. This study investigates the feasibility and challenges of employing micro-milling as a fabrication technique for developing 0.1 and 0.22 THz interaction structure. The findings contribute to advancements in the manufacturing processes for THz interaction structure for higher frequencies with sub-mm dimensions and tight fabrication tolerances less than <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$10\ \boldsymbol {\mu} \mathrm{m}$</tex>.
