Fourfold Pulse Repetition Frequency Enhancement in Multi-Stacked Quantum Dot Mode-Locked Lasers Using Colliding Pulse Mode-Locking

We demonstrate that mode-locked laser diodes with colliding pulse mode-locking achieve a fourfold increase in mode spacing, yielding a 279 GHz repetition frequency, with a 0.93 ps pulse width and a 1.28 time-bandwidth product.

Abstract

We demonstrate that mode-locked laser diodes with colliding pulse mode-locking achieve a fourfold increase in mode spacing, yielding a 279 GHz repetition frequency, with a 0.93 ps pulse width and a 1.28 time-bandwidth product.
