New Perspectives on Perturbation-Based Predistortion and Post-Compensation for Nonlinear Optical Transmission

We show that addition-multiplication (AM)-model is closest to nonlinear fiber channel among the 1st-order perturbation models and the reverse MA-model is the best pre-distortion and postcompensation method because of equivalence to propagating an inverse fiber.
