Analysis of Hyper-Parameter in Simple-Soft-Output MLSE for High-Baud-Rate PAM4 O-Band Transmission

We theoretically analyze the optimization of the hyper parameter that maximizes NGMI in a simple-soft-output MLSE scheme for SD-FEC and show that the experimental results fit well with the theoretical analysis through 200-Gbaud PAM4 transmission.
