Optimal Order of Pulse Sequence in Frequency Division Multiplexed Distributed Acoustic Sensor
We change the custom frequency ascending pulse sequence in FDM- <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\varphi$</tex>-OTDR to an odd-early-even-late order. Strain resolution is improved from <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$21.3 \text{pc}/ \sqrt{} \text{Hz}$</tex> to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$14.6 \text{pc}/ \sqrt{} \text{Hz}$</tex> in an 8-FDM- <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\varphi$</tex> OTDR with 50 km fiber due to crosstalk mitigation.
