A High-Sensitivity and Clogging-Free Microfluidic Impedance Flow Cytometer Enabled by Virtual Constriction Microchannel
This study presented a high-sensitivity and clogging-free microfluidic impedance flow cytometer enabled by virtual constriction microchannel. The new structure of the virtual constriction microchannel relied on crossflowing conductive cell solutions and insulated sheath fluids, leading to high impedance sensitivities without channel blockage. Large impedance variations (~1%) of a variety of microparticles were captured smoothly by this cytometer, and based on deep neural networks, high accuracies of 94.4% and 87.8% in classifying leukemia cell lines and 4-part leukocytes were obtained.
