Outage Performance of Ambient Backscatter-enabled V2V Communication Systems over Cascaded Rayleigh Fading
Ambient backscatter is recognized as an advanced technology which is crucial for facilitating low-power transmissions for next generation wireless networks. It enables battery-free connectivity for extensive networks of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices. Ambient backscatter addresses the low latency and power conservation needs that are essential for intelligent transport systems. Building upon these insights, we consider a simple ambient backscatter system wherein all the entities, ambient source, tag, and reader, are in motion. Accordingly, we derive the outage probability expression of the considered system over double-Rayleigh fading environment. Although, it is very difficult to obtain the closed-form result due to the involvement of cascaded channels, hence we use Gauss-Chebyshev numerical integration technique to obtain the outage expression. Moreover, Numerical and simulation studies have been performed to corroborate our analytical framework.
