An Improved Faculty Management System for Universities: FacultyStream
This paper describes FacultyStream, an innovative online system that improves the management of faculty and departmental operations at higher learning institutions. This system follows the growth of an emerging three-year final-year project at UCSI University, eliminating the less effective nature of past methods of administration by allowing the scheduling of appointments, managing documents, and communicating in highly effective ways. By integrating such functionalities into one easy-to-use interface, FacultyStream is designed to enable real-time communication among students, lecturers, and administrators. This platform is intended to enhance the operational efficiency of interactions among the three key stakeholders mentioned above, namely students, lecturers, and administrators. Early deployment results show positive impacts on the management of administrative tasks along with an increase in user satisfaction. This paper discusses the design methodology and the possible scalability in diverse academic settings.
