Field Demonstration of Deployed Submarine Seven-Core Fiber Cable for SDM Communications Over 140 km Relayed by C+L Band Multicore EDFA
We demonstrate for the first time submarine SDM transmission scheme with integrated C+L Band cladding-pumped multicore EDFA, achieving a record net capacity of 410.5 Tbit/s transmission over 140 km through field-deployed submarine 7-core fiber cable.
