Security Enhancement for High-Speed Optical Transmission Using Multilevel Coded Modulation and Information Scrambling

A multilevel coded modulation scheme in combination with information scrambling is proposed to enhance the physical layer security of high-speed optical transmission systems. Its effectiveness is demonstrated by comparing to conventional bit-interleaved coded modulation systems.
