A Learning-Based Digital Backpropagation Scheme for Nonlinearity Compensation in Multi-Core Fiber SDM Systems

A novel LDBP scheme is proposed for multi-core fiber space-division multiplexing systems. Compared with conventional DBP and LDBP schemes, the proposed scheme can achieve significant gains in SNR and/or Q-factor while maintaining manageable computational complexity.
