Sustainable Design, Manufacturing and Development of E-transportation Electronics Training in the TRIREME project
A key element of the European Green Deal is transforming the mobility sector to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. New automotive concepts and the increasing digitalization of the mobility ecosystem contribute to environmentally friendly solutions and innovative business models. Changes in the automotive industry also have significant social impacts. The Large-scale Pact for Skills Partnership and the Automotive Skills Alliance (ASA) [1] promote cooperation on the skills agenda within the Automotive-Mobility Ecosystem. “Digital & Green Skills Towards Future of the Mobility Ecosystem (TRIREME)” represents the partnership’s latest strategic project to support its operations. Our department, the Department of Electronics Technology (ETT), contributes by delivering specific training materials and courses within Work Package (WP) 4, alongside the development of a sectoral skills plan. This paper will discuss the structure, online learning approach, and training materials the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) partner provides. The focus is on sustainable design, manufacturing, and electronics development, highlighting innovative teaching strategies and topics. The developed course covers classifying electronic components, assembling technologies, and mounting and packaging semiconductor chips and module circuits. The course also includes thin- and thick-film technologies, and it addresses different wiring boards, computer-aided (CAD) design, construction principles of electronic appliances, green electronics trends, and value chain aspects of the electronics industry.
