The AIoT Monitoring Infection using Meteorological Condition
The Internet of Things (IoT) has become increasingly impactful in agriculture, leveraging remote sensing and machine learning to help farmers make high-precision management decisions. This article presents a LoRa-based wireless sensor network composed of autonomous, self-powered nodes, deployed throughout a vineyard. The nodes are comprised of widely available sensors that collect environmental and plant-related parameters, that will be used in early-stage disease identification and in modeling the size of the affected area. The proposed setup provides a complete system, including inexpensive, open-source hardware and software. It is noninvasive, scalable and provides data with higher accuracy than other precision agriculture setups. This paper provides an overview of the sensor network, architecture, and components, and the collected data displayed in a web-based application.
