Interactive Robot for Physics Education: Architecture and Dialogue Manager
Educational robots are increasingly present in schools, acting as efficient teaching tools and interacting with people as assistants and research sources. Unlike a conventional application, robots offer a richer interaction with the environment, involving physical movements and real-time responses. In the case of teaching physics, for example, children and adolescents’ learning can be more complete and attractive by incorporating interactive robotics, making the educational process more dynamic and fun. This article presents the development of a talking robot for teaching physics, integrating speech recognition, AI-generated responses, and an animated interface for intuitive student interaction. The system explores the potential of educational robotics as an interdisciplinary tool, promoting hands-on learning. Tests demonstrated the robot’s effectiveness in stimulating critical thinking and teaching scientific concepts in an innovative way.
