Deploying a Distributed Data Collection Network for Solar Power Plant Supervision
This paper presents the design, implementation, and evaluation of a distributed data collection network specifically designed to monitor critical parameters within solar power plants. The system leverages a Wireless Sensor Network to gather real-time data on the temperature inside the string boxes and the state of the fuses within these enclosures. The collected data is transmitted wirelessly through a mesh network to a central monitoring station. The primary objective of this system is to improve the reliability and efficiency of solar power plants by enabling early detection of potential issues, such as overheating or fuse failures. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system in providing valuable insights into the operational health of solar power plants.
