Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Displaying Batik Waste Pollution Levels in Small and Medium Enterprises
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Batik face serious challenges related to batik waste management. Many Batik SMEs that have not implemented optimal waste management harm environmental conditions, especially water quality around the Batik SMEs. This study aims to display the level of batik waste pollution in each Batik SME using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to reduce the level of wastewater pollution. The GIS design method uses SCRUM with an iterative and incremental approach. The parameters used in this study include $\mathbf{p H}$ (degree of acidity), BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solids), and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids). The study was conducted in Lasem District, Rembang Regency, because the area has potential for Batik SMEs. This study resulted in a GIS design to provide information related to the level of waste pollution in Batik SMEs, where the information displayed can be the basis for recommendations for more effective waste management. Batik SMEs have the potential to reduce the impact of pollution due to the batik production process. Industry players can progressively implement environmentally friendly solutions in their operations, ultimately creating a cleaner environment for the surrounding community.
