Materialization of the “Collage-city” method in the architectural appearance of Elista

The article considers the key stages of development of multidimensional architectural environment of Elista, which embody the ideas of the “collage” approach in the formation of the image of the city. The article analyzes buildings and public spaces for integration into the general context of the city. Stylistic and volumetric-spatial characteristics of buildings of different historical periods are described. On the example of transformation of separate territories and buildings the evolution of the method “Collage city” in the formation of urban environment is considered. The obtained conclusions can be used in the development of projects aimed at creating integrated approaches to shaping the image of the city center and further development of urban areas of Elista.
