Principles of placing sports and recreational areas on difficult terrain

This article discusses the principles of placing sports and recreational facilities in a weakly urbanized environment during the application of spatial planning tools and the theoretical basis of research in this area. It is based on 3 existing analytical methods: landscape analysis, territorial analysis and graphoanalytic analysis (structure analysis). The results of the study of three methods are used for a multi-factor analysis of the territory. The proposed author’s methodology is shown by the example of a study of sports and recreational facilities on the territory of the Vyborg and Priozersky districts of the Leningrad region in order to establish favorable territories for the development of sports and recreational functions.
