Las Empresas Familiares en México y su Transición al Gobierno Corporativo con la Implicación de Estudiantes Universitarios
Family businesses are a vital component of the global economy, representing a vast majority of businesses worldwide. These organizations not only play a crucial role in generating employment and wealth, but also embody values and a long-term vision that significantly differentiate them from non-family businesses. However, managing these businesses involves navigating a complex web of personal and professional relationships, where business objectives must be balanced with family expectations and dynamics. This study will explore in depth the main characteristics of family businesses, the evolution of their administrative and governance complexity due to growth or generational transition, the importance and structure of the family protocol, and the adoption of effective corporate governance as a strategy to ensure their permanence and competitiveness in the market. At the same time, a short study will be conducted with university students to determine their level of knowledge on these topics, after having completed the MSME and Family Business Administration course, as well as the application of Corporate Governance in these organizations.
